Kathmandu
Kathmandu, the largest city in Nepal in terms of population and size, is home to the nation’s Capital. Over the years, rapid urbanisation, pollution and unmanaged development have plagued the city’s landscape on the ground.
On most days the city is covered in dust and smog owing to the rise in pollution. However, during the monsoons, the skies above the city clear up and a rejuvenated city can be seen from various points around the valley.
On Tuesday, following a rainy night, Kathmandu’s skies were clear. Post photographer, Prakash Chandra Timilsena, took some photos onboard a Nepal Airlines flight that was on its way to Pakistan to hand over relief materials to the Pakistani government for the flood victims sent by the Nepal government.
