A Nepali youth studying in Perth, Australia died Thursday morning while undergoing treatment after collapsing on a road while going to work.
The deceased has been identified as Birat Man Tamrakar, a permanent resident of Nardevi, Kathmandu. He arrived Australia some one-and-half year ago to pursue Master’s Degree in Engineering at Edith Cowan University.
Tamrakar’s room partner Dilli Parajuli said that Tamrakar suddenly collapsed on a road while heading towards work. He was immediately rushed to Royal Perth Hospital where he breathed his last, Parajuli informed.
According to dcotors, Tamrakar might have succumbed to heart attack or brain hemorrhage, however, exact cause can be ascertained after obtaining autopsy report.
A member of Nepali Association of Western Australia, Kamal Silwal, said that they were preparing to deport the body to Nepal as requested by Tamrakar’s parents. Meanwhile, the Australia-based Nepali organisations are jointly coordinating fundraising program to send the body back home. Silwal said they need 12,500 dollars for the purpose.
