A crowd has gathered at the Mint Division of the Nepal Rastra Bank in Babarmahal after it began selling silver coins.

The central bank has put four types of silver coins on sale, targeting Dhanteras, but will not sell gold coins this year.

Buyers are limited to one coin each and must present a photocopy of their citizenship certificate or an ID showing their citizenship number.
