As the Shivaratri approaches, the Pashupatinath premises witnessed an influx of sadhus, Babas, and devotees from across the country and beyond for the last couple of days. The temple premises, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is a major spiritual hub, especially during Shivaratri, one of the most significant festivals in the Hindu calendar.

On Monday, the scene around Pashupatinath was lively, with pilgrims arriving early in the morning to participate in rituals and prayers. As is customary for this auspicious day, both domestic and international visitors gathered to seek blessings and pay their respects. Babas from India, in particular, were a prominent part of the scene, adding to the vibrancy of the festival atmosphere.

The area surrounding Pashupatinath has seen an increase in the number of Babas, who are known for their spiritual practices and connection to the divine. These figures have long been an integral part of the Shivaratri celebrations, often attracting attention from tourists and pilgrims alike.

Shivaratri, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is considered one of the most sacred nights according to the Vedic calendar, alongside other holy nights such as Kaalratri, Moharatri, and Sukharatri. It holds great significance in Hindu scriptures, particularly the Puranas. This year, the festival falls on February 26, with many visitors expected to converge at the temple.
