Construction of a flyover at Kisipidi, Balambu, is in full swing to connect the Tribhuvan Highway with the Nagdhunga-Sisnekhola tunnel road.
The flyover is being constructed as part of the tunnel road project to remove potential traffic congestion at a busy interchange.
Once completed, the flyover will be 128 metres long and seven metres wide.
The tunnel road saw its final breakthrough on April 15. The breakthrough was completed, detonating explosives to clear out the final two-metre stretch of the main tunnel. The passageway will open to the public in about a year.
Here are some photos showing the flyover's construction, captured by the Post’s photo editor, Prakash Chandra Timilsena.
