Muslims across the country are celebrating Eid al-Fitr on Thursday.
The Islamic community observes the festival by reciting special namaz and exchanging happiness and greetings with each other.
Eid al-Fitr is celebrated after the conclusion of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. It falls on the first day of the tenth month of the lunar-based Islamic calendar.
On this day, Muslims gather mainly in the mosque or any outdoor location in the early morning for prayer and break their fast with delicacies.
Here are some photos of people praying at the Kashmiri Masjid in Kathmandu taken by Post photojournalists Sukarya Lal Shrestha and Angad Dhakal.
