Heavy downpour inundates Valley settlements
Heavy showers since last night has caused floods in rivers and inundation in riverside settlements.

Several areas in the Valley have been inundated following heavy rainfall since Monday night.
Teku, Thapathali squatter settlements, and Kapan areas within the Capital were flooded due to the incessant downpour.
Similarly, Bhaktapur’s Hanuman Ghat, Ram Mandir, Shanti Niketan School and Siddhi Memorial Women and Children Hospital among other places are waterlogged after water from flooded rivers gushed into the settlement.
The Kathmandu Valley has witnessed heavy rainfall, causing floods in rivers and inundation in riverside settlements.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division said Nepal will witness rainfall for a few more days as the low-pressure trough of the monsoon is north of the average location.
Meanwhile, the Flood Forecasting Division has issued an alert, urging people not to go near the rivers and streams which are swollen following downpours.
