Depositors of microfinance institutions marched from Maitighar to Baluwatar on Saturday putting forth various demands.

Their demands include the scrapping of microfinances, which they said have been established as neo-feudalists, exempting loans taken from microfinance institutions and providing interest-free lendings to needy farmers among other demands.

The depositors who also borrow money from microfinances accuse the financial institutions of charging exorbitant interests.

The march was held under the banner of the Struggle Committee Against Microfinance Institutions, Sarlahi.
