The 2567th Buddha Jayanti was observed nationwide on Friday.
Buddhist monks, devotees and people from all walks of life thronged to various Buddhist shrines to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Gautam Buddha.
Rituals and prayers for world peace were performed at the Maya Devi temple in Lumbini early on Friday.
