The Kapan-Saattale area in Budhanilkantha Municipality-12 has been left in disarray after road sections were dug up to replace drinking water pipelines and never reconstructed.

Locals say the situation has worsened with the onset of monsoon rains, making daily life increasingly difficult.

Roughly one kilometre of road was excavated for the pipeline upgrade around 18 months ago, but the road has yet to be rebuilt. The resulting potholes and open ditches have caused disruption for residents, businesses, and public transport alike.
