Nepal is observing its 8th Constitution Day on Monday.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, National Assembly President Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Chief Judge Deepak Kumar Karki, Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah were present at a special function organised to mark the day at Sainik Manch, Tundikhel.
At the programme, Deuba expressed his belief that the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections to be held in November will ensure the peaceful transfer of power in the country through democratic methods honouring the constitution.
