On the occasion of Gai Jatra, the LGBTQIA community in Nepal organised a ‘pride parade’ in Kathmandu on Friday. The parade was organised by the Blue Diamond Society.
A large number of people from the LGBTQIA community took part in a rally that started from Thamel up to Tundikhel.
The event which is celebrated every year has seen enthusiastic participation from the people of the community in recent times. Organised annually since 2002, the Gai Jatra Pride Parade witnesses thousands of queer people and allies marching through the streets of Kathmandu.
Here are some photos of the parade taken by Post’s photographer Prakash Chandra Timilsena.
