The Pashupatinath temple, which was closed following the Covid-19 pandemic, has reopened for general worshippers after nine months on Wednesday.

According to the Pashupati Area Development Trust, devotees will have to compulsorily wear masks. The Trust said sanitizers have also been installed on the temple premises. In the first phase of the temple reopening, worshippers will be allowed to enter and exit only from the west gate of the temple.

Special worship ceremonies and other activities will remain suspended until further notice, said the Trust.
