Monsoon has created havoc in most of the Tarai districts as floods have swept away river banks and destroyed rice crops.

The floods triggered by incessant rainfall have taken numerous lives, damaged properties and ruined livelihoods of many Tarai dwellers.

Floods have inundated thousands of houses, leaving families without food and shelter. Flood victims are either displaced or are taking shelters at their relatives’ houses.
