Squatters’ houses demolished in Tripureshwor
Security personnel on Saturday morning evicted squatters from the Bagmati River corridor in Tripureshwor area of Kathmandu where they were residing illegally by encroaching the land.

Security personnel on Saturday morning evicted squatters from the Bagmati River corridor in Tripureshwor area of Kathmandu where they were residing illegally by encroaching the land.
More than 10 houses were demolished by security personnel by using bulldozers deputed by Kathmandu Metropolitan City at a slum area in Gulsing Gahal, Tripureshwor.
The squatters were served a 15-day notice to evacuate the slum area. They, however, said that they would not leave the area until the government provides them an alternative place.
