Ruby Valley, one of the trekking destinations parched in Dhading district, is a least explored trekking trail of Nepal.
The valley that lies in the Ganesh Himal region has an immense tourism prospect as it offers scenic beauty of passes, lakes and mountains along with authentic culture of Tamang and Gurung ethnic groups.
Ruby valley is habitat to endangered species including red panda. It is popular for snow-capped mountains, lakes, beautiful village, rivers and rivulets. The valley is also a house to 14 species of rhododendron flower.
Ruby valley got its name as the region has deposit of the gem ruby. One can expect a trekking of 5-21 days in this region. The region that has the potential of earning fame as that of Rasuwa’s Langtang and Gorkha’s Manaslu trekking trails, however, is under shadow in lack of proper promotion and policy.
