A procession was carried out in Thecho, Lalitpur on Thursday as a part of month-long Madhav Narayan festival. The festival begins from the full moon of Poush, the ninth month in Nepali calendar.
The religious fast dedicated to Lord Madhav Narayan or goddess Shree Swasthani that began from January 12 this year will last for a month.
The devotees remain on fast for the entire month and have to abide by strict disciplinary rules and regulation. The devotees roll on the ground as a part of ritual.
