July 25: Prof Dr Govinda KC, who had been staging an indefinite hunger strike, broke his fast on the 16th day after the government agreed to address some of his demands at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, in Kathmandu. This was the eight fast-unto-death of Dr KC.
