Tension at Chabahil-based Om Hospital that ensued after a patient died in course of treatment ended on Friday after an agreement between the hospital administration and the kin of the deceased.

According to Bikash Khatri, a three-point agreement inclulding establishment of Rs2 million trust in the name of the deceased, airlifting the body of the deceased to her home for final rites and apology from the hospital was forged between the hospital and the relatives of the deceased.

Tanka Kumari Neupane, 53, who was admitted to the hospital following uterian ailments, died in course of treatment on Thursday evening.

The kin of the deceased resorted to protest alleging negligence on the part of doctors involved in the treatment for Neupane's death.

Security personnel were heavily deployed at the hospital premises to contain the protest.
