Ganga Maya Adhikari admitted to ICU
Ganga Maya Adhikari, who has been seeking justice for the muder of her son Krishna Prasad Adhikari since the past 10 years, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bir Hospital on Tuesday.Ganga Maya Adhikari, who has been seeking justice for the muder of her son Krishna Prasad Adhikari since the past 10 years, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bir Hospital on Tuesday.
Hospital Director Dr Swayam Prakash Pandit informed that Adhikari’s health has been deteriorating due to DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis). Adhikari was admitted to the ICU after having respiratory problems and having lost her mobility.
“She has been suffering from DVT on the left leg since three years,” said Dr Pandit, “Her condition turned serious after DVT was seen on her right leg.” Dr Pandit further informed that Adhikari’s condition is now stable.
Ganga Maya and Nanda Prasad Adhikari were holding fast-unto-death demanding action against their son’s murders. Nanda Prasad died on the course of hunger strike on 22 September, 2014 at the same hospital.
Ganga Maya had started taking light foods and liquid foods as per the suggestion of doctors. However, she has refused to take custody of her husband’s body and continue with the strike until she gets justice.
