APF secures dominant win over Bagmati in Manmohan Memorial Cup
Bagmati bowled out for 80 as APF claims victory by 8 wickets in national tournament.

Armed Police Force (APF) Club registered their first victory in the third edition of the Manmohan Memorial One-Day National Cricket Tournament with a commanding 8-wicket win over Bagmati Province on Sunday.
In the match held at the Girija Prasad Koirala Cricket Stadium in Baijanathpur, Biratnagar, Bagmati were sent in to bat first after losing the toss and were dismissed for a mere 80 runs in just 19.3 overs. A disastrous start saw opener Ashutosh Ghiraiya bowled for a duck by Diwan Pun on the third ball of the first over.
Bagmati continued to collapse, losing three wickets for just 13 runs. Captain Rit Gautam scored a fighting 31, while Bibek Rana Magar added 13. However, no other batter reached double figures. For APF, Prakash Jaisi took 4 wickets, Abhishek Gautam 3, and Bhoj Raj Bhatta claimed 2.
Chasing a modest target of 81, APF reached the total in 9.4 overs, losing only two wickets. Deepak Bohara remained unbeaten on 48, and captain Sumit Maharjan contributed 18 not out.
According to MM Cup Foundation chair Biplav Ghosh, Bagmati will face Tribhuvan Army Club in Monday’s fixture.
The tournament, which runs until May 3, features six teams including one from India.
The winners will receive Rs400,000, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs200,000 and a trophy. The best player will earn Rs25,000, and the top batter and bowler will each receive Rs15,000.
