Nawalparasi West
Bikram Khanal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected from Nawalparasi West-1, defeating former member of parliament and billionaire industrialist Binod Kumar Chaudhary.
Khanal secured a landslide victory with 45,241 votes, defeating Chaudhary of the Nepali Congress by a staggering margin of 35,739 votes. Chaudhary, who had won the seat in the 2022 elections, managed only 9,502 votes this time.
Other candidates in the fray trailed far behind. CPN-UML’s Ram Prasad Pandey received 7,956 votes, followed by Hridayesh Tripathi of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal with 7,832 votes. Navnit Kumar Mishra of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party secured 1,593 votes.
