A man sustained serious injuries after falling off a house roof in Chitwan district on Monday morning.

According to police, Dil Bahadur Thapa, 39, of Barhabise Municipality-3 of Sindhupalchok district sustained injuries to his head and legs after falling from the top floor of the three-storey house at around 4am.

Thapa is a personal driver of Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijaya Raj Pandit, who is also the spokesperson for Chitwan District Police Office, said Thapa is undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur-based medical college.

A police team under a command of Superintendent of Police have been deployed to the incident site at Bharatpur Metropolis-11 for an investigation.

DSP Pandit said the details of the incident will be made public after the investigation.
