Bagmati Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel gave a full shape to his Cabinet inducting eight new ministers, 17 days after he took charge of the office.
The newly appointed ministers took an oath of office and secrecy from Bagmati province head Yadav Chandra Sharma on Wednesday.
From the UML, Eka Lal Shrestha took an oath as Minister for Labour, Employment and Transport; Rameshswar Shrestha as Minister for Health and Keshav Pokharel as Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development.
Likewise, Yuvaraj Dulal, Ganga Narayan Shrestha and Kumari Moktan from the CPN (Maoist Centre) were sworn in as Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law and Minister for Social Development respectively.
From the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Dambar Tamang was appointed as Minister for Tourism, Industry and Cooperatives and Raju Bista as Minister for Forest and Environment.
The chief minister assigned the responsibility of the Ministry of Water, Energy and Irrigation to Uddhav Thapa who was inducted as a minister without a portfolio. Earlier, Jagannath Thapaliya of UML was appointed as Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning.
The number of ministries in the province has been reduced to 11 from 14.
