Five killed as jeep and minibus collide in Kavre

At least five people including a child were killed after a jeep and a minibus collided in Roshi Rural Municipality-11, Kavre on Wednesday.
The jeep which was heading towards Kathmandu collided with the minibus with an Indian number plate carrying Indian nationals, according to Deputy Superintendent Hari Khatiwada, incharge of District Police Office, Kavre.
“Five Nepali nationals including a child were killed in the incident,” said Khatiwada. “The bodies are yet to be identified.”
“According to preliminary investigation, the jeep went out of control and hit the minibus,” said Khatiwada.
A total of 26 passengers in the minibus have sustained injuries and have been rushed to Dhulikhel Hospital for further treatment, said police.
