One killed, 22 injured in bus accident in Khotang

The bus was carrying 40 pilgrims. Eight of the injured have been referred to Biratnagar for treatment.

One person died and 22 others were injured when a bus returning from Haleshi to Saptari met with an accident at Kaduwa of Bahunidada in Halesi-Tuwachung Municipality on Saturday morning.

According to Khotang Police Inspector Rajendra Poudel, a 17-year-old boy from Sindhuli died when a bus (Ba 3 Kha 9285) carrying 40 pilgrims from Halesi met with an accident.

“The injured are undergoing treatment at Ghurmi-based Janasewa Health Care and Aastha Life Care.” said Poudel. “Eight of the injured have been referred to Biratnagar.”
