A section of Prithvi Highway has been swept away by flood in Rorang Rural Municipality, Dhading following heavy rainfall on Monday.
Rorang Ward No. 10 chairperson Amber Gurung said a section of the road adjacent to Mauwa Bridge has been swept away by the flood. "The bridge connecting Chitwan with Dhading and a section of the road towards Dhading have been swept away bringing transportation and public movement to a grinding halt," said Gurung.
Gurung said the area has been experiencing continuous rainfall for the past few days. “People are panic-stricken and are moving to safer locations," he said.
