A 19-year-old motorcyclist, Chandan Yadav of ward 7 of Kabilasi Municipality, lost his life after his motorcycle collided with a tractor near a sawmill in Pharahadawa, Sarlahi.
The accident occurred on the Nawalpur–Malangwa road section. The sand-loaded tractor, heading towards Malangwa, was struck by an Indian-registered motorcycle travelling in the same direction.
Yadav sustained severe injuries in the crash and was rushed to the provincial hospital, where doctors declared him dead, Police Inspector Rajosh Ghimire of the District Traffic Office, Nawalpur, said.
The vehicles have been impounded, but the tractor driver remains at large. Police said they are searching for the driver.
