Police have arrested a man on the run after being convicted of arson, 20 years after the incident.
Rakesh Yadav, 40, was arrested from his residence in Loharpatti Municipality-8 in Mahottari district, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Santulal Jaiswal.
The Supreme Court sentenced him to seven years in prison on December 31, 2018, for setting 12 houses in then Khuttapipradhi-6 on fire in 2004.
Police apprehended him based on a tip-off.
According to Jaiswal, Yadav was presented before the Mahottari District Court on Monday.
