A landslide triggered by continuous rainfall on Tuesday morning has blocked the Khandbari–Gola road section of the Koshi Highway at Phaksinda in ward 5 of Makalu Rural Municipality.

According to police, the landslide occurred near the Fakrekhola Bridge, cutting off vehicular movement along the route. The North-South Koshi Road Project said clearance work is underway.

Vehicles travelling between Khandbari and Bhotkhola have been stranded due to the obstruction.
