Three people were killed after a motorcycle and a jeep collided in Jhapa on Wednesday.

According to the police, motorcycle rider Mausam Rai, 25, 20-year-old Yunis Bhandari, who was riding pillion on the two-wheeler, and a 17-year-old boy were declared dead on arrival by doctors at the B&C Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Birtamod.

The accident occurred after the two-wheeler and a jeep collided head-on in Shivasatakshi Municipality-8 section of the East-West Highway at around 5:20 am.

Other injured are receiving treatment at the Birtamod-based hospital.
