28 injured as fire engulfs house in Morang

At least 28 people were injured after a fire engulfed a house in Bargachhi of Urlabari-7 on Sunday night.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ranjan Kumar Dahal, the fire broke out at the jewellery shop being run in the building, due to a cooking gas cylinder explosion.
Locals and police personnel, who were trying to douse the inferno, are among those injured, a dozen of whom have sustained 40-50 per cent burns.
The injured were rushed to hospitals in Morang, Sunsari, and Jhapa, and preparations are underway to send the severely injured to Kathmandu for treatment, Dahal, also the spokesperson for Morang police, added.
Detailed information on the damages is yet to be assessed.
