Protesters advocating identity-based nomenclature of Koshi Province waved black flags at provincial minister for drinking water, irrigation, energy and health Tilak Kumar Menyangbo in Diktel, the district headquarters of Khotang, on Thursday.

The agitators greeted the provincial minister with black flags and chanted slogans against him at Hospital Chowk.

The minister came to the district to monitor and inspect the district hospital. Some protesters sustained injuries as they clashed with the security personnel.
