2,362 people still missing after Bhotekoshi floods, police say

A total of 2,362 people remain missing following Wednesday’s Bhotekoshi floods, Nepal Police said on Saturday.
According to police spokesperson Abi Narayan Kafle, 1,863 of those missing are Nepali nationals. They include 1,591 men and 264 women. Among the 499 foreign nationals reported missing are 223 men and 300 women.
As of 4 pm on Saturday, authorities recovered 669 bodies, Kafle said. The remains include 148 women, 268 men, 22 girls, 20 boys and 211 partial human remains. Twenty bodies have been handed over to relatives.
Search and rescue teams have so far evacuated 2,301 injured people, including 1,506 men and 795 women, according to police.
