Dharma Raj KC defeats Prithvi Subba Gurung in Lamjung

Dharma Raj KC of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to the House of Representatives from Lamjung, defeating CPN-UML candidate Prithvi Subba Gurung and Nepali Congress candidate Gam Prasad Gurung.
KC secured 33,898 votes out of 75,460 ballots cast in the constituency. His nearest rival, CPN-UML’s Gurung, received 16,876 votes, while the Nepali Congress candidate Gam Prasad Gurung garnered 16,569 votes. Nepali Communist Party candidate Hari Jung Tamang obtained 3,371 votes.
KC had finished third in the 2022 House of Representatives election from the constituency, receiving 9,029 votes. In that election, UML’s Gurung had won the seat with 34,969 votes.
