In Dang Constituency No. 2, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) co-chair Bipin Kumar Acharya is maintaining an early lead in the parliamentary elections.
Acharya has received 2,443 votes so far, while CPN-UML general secretary Shankar Pokhrel trails with 594 votes. Nepali Congress candidate Kiran Kishor Ghimire has secured 390 votes, and NCP candidate Nirmal Acharya has 218 votes.
The constituency recorded 82,626 votes, with 36,119 cast by men and 46,507 by women, representing 58.61 percent of the total electorate. Dang-2 has 140,965 registered voters, including 68,558 men, 72,406 women, and one other.
A total of 23 candidates are contesting in the constituency, representing 15 political parties and eight independents.
