President appoints Pandit as Nepal’s ambassador to Israel

President Ramchandra Paudel has appointed Professor Dhan Prasad Pandit as Nepal’s ambassador to Israel. The appointment followed the recommendation of the Council of Ministers and approval from the Parliamentary Hearing Committee, with the official announcement made on Wednesday.
According to Archana Khadka, the information officer at the President’s Office, the President appointed Pandit as ambassador in accordance with Article 282 (1) of the Constitution. . Pandit will now assume the role of Nepal’s resident Ambassador to Israel.
Parliamentary hearing committee endorsed Pandit as Nepal’s envoy to Israel two months ago.
During his parliamentary hearing, Pandit expressed his intent to work towards peace in the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict once he takes up his post.
“Palestine also deserves to live,” he said, highlighting his commitment to advocating for peace in the region.
