A dry landslide has completely blocked the Araniko Highway at the 50-kilometre mark in Panchkhal Municipality-8, disrupting traffic flow. The landslide occurred around 9 PM on Saturday night, according to Inspector Bikas Tamang, Chief of the District Traffic Police Office in Kavre.
Efforts are currently underway to clear the debris and reopen the highway, which has remained obstructed since the night of the incident. The blockage has caused a heavy traffic jam, with hundreds of vehicles stranded on both sides of the highway.
The police and the locals are working to restore traffic as soon as possible, but no estimate has yet been provided for when the road will be fully operational.
