One dies after ambulance hits pedestrians in Butwal

A woman died after she was hit by an ambulance in Butwal of Rupandehi district on Sunday morning. Two others were critically injured in the incident.
According to the Butwal Area Police Office, the accident occurred when the ambulance en route to Butwal from Arghakhanchi hit three pedestrians in Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-13.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijay Raj Pandit, the deceased is Kamala Nepali, 56, of Butwal Municipality-11. Kamala died while undergoing treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital.
Two other women, Harikala Nepali, 55, and Jhupa Thadarai, 35, of the same ward are receiving treatment at the hospital.
The ambulance has been impounded, and the driver has been arrested, police said.
