Police on Saturday arrested a man from the Tribhuvan International Airport on charge of murder.

Twenty-four-year-old Anil Kumar Sah was taken into police custody from the Kathmandu-based airport for allegedly murdering Dhan Bahadur Pradhan, a local of Jhapa district, while in Malaysia.

Sah and Pradhan were working in the same company in the Southeast Asian country, police said.

Sah, a local of Gaushala-5 of Mahottari, arrived in the Capital on a Himalayan Airlines flight.

The family of the deceased had tipped off the police that Sah was attempting to enter Nepal by changing his appearance.

Pradhan’s wife had filed a case against Sah accusing him of killing her husband.

Further investigation into the matter is being carried out by the police in collaboration with Interpol’s Malaysia chapter, and the Embassy of Nepal in Malaysia.
