China Aid constructs two school buildings in Dolakha

The China Aid has completed the construction of two school buildings in Jilu and Singati of Dolakha district.
The buildings are a part of the assistance agreement signed by the governments of Nepal and China following the 2015 earthquake, reads the statement issued by Sinohydro Bureau 6, one of the Chinese firms that executed the projects.
“They are a livelihood project to help children and teachers in the Dolakha area improve their learning and living environment after the disaster.”
The construction aid project which began in December of 2019 includes buildings of the Shree Sarba Secondary School and Kalinag Secondary School. The buildings are expected to be handed over next month, the statement reads.
Each campus has two teaching buildings, one dormitory building, a canteen, teaching and auxiliary rooms, administrative office rooms, and living supporting rooms.
“The outdoor engineering part includes hardened playgrounds, gates, walls, campus roads, flagpoles, and temporary classrooms,” the construction company said.
The construction of the school campus, funded by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, was managed by the East China Architecture Design and Research Institute, and Huajian Group Shanghai Architectural Design & Research Institute. Likewise, Sinohydro Bureau 6 were the project’s technical and EPC implementation unit.
The completion of the project is another milestone in the friendship between China and Nepal, the statement further reads. “The project design, procurement and construction and other aspects are carried out according to the strictest standards and the highest quality workmanship.”
