Kantipur Foundation and Round Table Nepal have signed a memorandum of collaboration to work towards the betterment of education and health and initiate social service programmes during natural calamities.
The memorandum was signed by the CEO of Kantipur Publications Mahesh Swar and Rahul Agrawal, president of Round Table Nepal.
As per the agreement signed on Tuesday, Kantipur will be a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes organised by Round Table, said Swar.
“From providing relief to those affected by floods to food distribution in Jumla, Kantipur and Round Table has been actively taking such initiatives individually,” Swar said. “Now the two organisations will work together as a team to give continuity to such social service programmes.”
Instead of contributing to the same field as separate entities, the two institutions have agreed to work collaboratively towards a common goal, Agrawal said.
For the past 30 years, Round Table Nepal has been working for the betterment of education and health in the country and has been active in social service during times of need. The organisation has been providing scholarships to around 25,000 students from underprivileged groups, Agrawal added.
The organisation has been running programmes such as ‘Train the Teacher’, ‘Educate the Child and ‘Sugandh Thalassemia’, among others.
