Police have arrested two youths from Bhaktapur district on the charge of rape.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Raju Pandey, spokesperson of Bhaktapur Police Range, said 21-year-old Bhakta Nepali of Mugu and 19-year-old Gagan Pariyar of Humla have been arrested on the charge of rape.

Police said the duo allegedly raped two girls in a forest in Suryavinayak Municipality-9 on Wednesday evening.

Nepali is accused of raping a 15-year-old, while Pariyar is accused of raping a 20-year-old girl.

According to police, further investigation into the case is underway.
