Madan Puraskar announces shortlist of nine books for award

Madan Puraskar Guthi on Friday announced that it has shortlisted nine books out of a list of 222 books it received for the Madan Puraskar 2077.
The shortlisted books are: Eklavya Ko Debre Haat by Giri Shreesh Magar, Kariya by Krishna Abiral, Kalpa Grantha by Kumar Nagarkoti, Nrityakshar Vigyan by Bhairab Bahadur Thapa, Filingo by Prabha Baral, Fulange by Lekhnath Chettri, Mokshabhumi by Keshav Dahal, Ramite by Jason Kunwar, Limbuwan Ko Etihasik Dastawej Sangrah (1719-2020) by Bhagiraj Ingnam.
Although a maximum of 10 books are shortlisted, the recommendation committee recommended only nine, according to the trust.
Books with unpublished materials were given preference in the shortlist, it said in a statement.
Madan Puraskar is given to the best book published in the Nepal language in a given year and was established in 1955, according to Madan Puraskar Guthi.
