Four killed, seven injured in jeep accident in Humla

Four people, including a child, were killed and seven others injured in a road accident in Humla district on Friday night at around 11pm. A jeep carrying 11 people fell off the road near Dadafyan in Simkot Rural Municipality Ward No 7.
According to Chiranjeevi Giri, Chief District Officer, the jeep was on its way to Hepka Khola from Simkot with a patient aboard.
The injured are receiving treatment at Simkot District Hospital. Dr Tashi Angchuk Lama at the hospital said, “Of the seven injured, two are in a critical condition.” The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, he said.
According to Mohan Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police, a team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force reached the incident site for rescue.
