Deputy Prime Minster (DPM) and Defense Minister Ishwor Pokharel claimed murderers of Nirmala Panta of Kanchanpur district have been arrested and will be made public soon.

DPM Pokharel made such claims at the 10^th Human Rights National Assembly in the Capital on Saturday. “I just want to say the culprit(s) has been arrested and will be made public soon,” he said.

Hinting towards opposition Nepali Congress, Pokharel said the issue might be politicised and urged the culprit(s), once made public, should not be defended by political parties and activists under any political guise.

“Everyone who demanded those involved be booked should not come in defense of the arrested person. Such sensitive issues should not be raised as political agenda,” he suggested.
