Whereabouts of missing infant still unknown

They burnt tyres, obstructed the road and chanted slogans against the hospital administration and health workers. On Friday, the baby of Asha Paswan of Chhapkaiya, Birgunj Sub metropolis-1 went missing from the hospital three hours after its birth. According to Asha’s mother-in-law Ramawati, a woman frequenting in the hospital ward had stolen the child at around 1am on Friday. But police investigators are unable to identify the woman yet.
Medical Superintendent Dr Chittaranjan Sah said the relatives stopped the demonstration after reaching a five-point agreement with the hospital administration and police. Under the deal, the hospital and the police personnel have assured the victims that they will search for the missing baby and will provide them with information on the search and investigation within three days.
The hospital administration has also said it will repair any out of order CCTV cameras on its premises.
