Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Thapa said Pashupati Sumsher Rana's incompetency to take decision on his own led to the cancelation of merger.
"Rana was distancing himself from the merger once he returned from India visit in mid-July," said Thapa, hinting at India’s role behind the sudden cancellation of merger.
The merger plan of two right wing parties was cancelled at the 11th hour on Monday after RPP opted to stay away from merger demanding that the party's statue should be finalised before the unification. The two parties were set to announce merger on Tuesday.
