Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula has urged leaders from both factions to settle leadership row through consensus instead of holding presidential runoff.
In a press statement issued just hours after pulling out from the NC’s presidential race, Sitaula said that factionalism in the party could end forever if all side agreed to choose a common President giving due respect to spirit of votes cast in Sunday’s election.
He said that it was a right moment to unite the party.
