Leader Nepal urged the agitating Madhes based parties to adopt flexibility and resolve the issue through political agreement and constitutional process.
Speaking at a Press meet organised by Dailekh chapter of Press Chautari on Tuesday, he said the government needs to be serious in addressing the Madhes demands. He suggested that the constitution should be published in different native Tarai languages and should be made available to Madhesi folks for study citing the negative rumors about the constitution surfacing in Tarai.
“Let people read the constitution. Determine the electoral constituencies on the basis of population and geography and ensure the inclusive participation of marginalised communities in different state authorities,” said Nepal, “The country should not be divided by separating Pahad and Madhes. Madhes-based parties should be serious about the nation’s welfare.”
Responding to a query about ways to make Nepal self-reliant, Nepal said that the government needs to research existence and extraction of fuel from mines in Dailekh and other districts.
